A Chainsaw Operator Certification Class will be held on Sunday, July 14th. at the residence of Mike and Michelle Sabin. (Updated Directions Attached). 

  • In Class Training will begin @ 8AM. This class will cover safety procedures, operation of chainsaws, and maintenance of equipment. This in-class training is mandatory.
  • Field Certification will be conducted by Frank Totten (Chainsaw Director/Trainer) and Roger Bowie (Trainer) following in-class training.
  • Leather Shoes ONLY. Safety equipment (chaps, goggles, ear plugs, gloves) will be furnished. If you have your own, you are free to use them.
  • You may use your own chainsaw for certification – but sharing your chainsaw with another volunteer is not permitted. The agency has chainsaws for certification if you do not have one.
  • Bring Sack Lunch
