Opportunities for support in Illinois are many. Why not consider directing your gifts toward one of these vital ministries?
Education (Hinsdale Adventist Academy, North Shore Jr. Academy, and all Illinois elementary schools)
- Capital improvements for elementary and secondary schools, to name but a few, include the need to renovate buildings, replace carpeting, roofing, and air conditioning.
- Update Technology including computer labs, individual room connectivity, and teaching equipment.
- Worthy Student Fund -- There are several worthy student funds already in place to which you can contribute. Or, you can name a fund in memory or honor of someone special in your life.
- Scholarship Funds for academy and elementary school children.
- Endowed Chair
-- Imagine the benefit to one of our Illinois schools an endowed chair would be -- a guarantee that funding will be available to teach a special class, e.g., Bible or a particular subject in which you have an interest.
Evangelism:
- Each year pastors ask for more funds for evangelism than what the Conference is able to provide. Imagine what can happen in Illinois if the pastors who are willing to conduct public evangelistic meetings
receive the funding they need to do so!
Camp Akita:
- Several projects are worthy of your consideration:
- Kabins4Kids -- We've outgrown our camp. Additional rooms are needed not only for kids attending summer camp, but to accommodate church retreats, camp meeting, and other groups.
- Outdoor Pavilion for camp meeting, large groups, as well as a place for our youth to gather when there is inclement weather during the camp season and other camping events.
Church Capital Improvements:
- Many of our smaller churches are in need of funds to make improvements in their physical plant to not only bring them up to date, but to also accommodate the handicapped.
Other Opportunities:
Please check back here for other opportunities . . . perhaps you may have an idea of something you can do for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Illinois.
In determining your level of support for Illinois Conference ministries, please note that unlike TV, radio and self-supporting ministries, the Illinois Conference may not seek support from anyone living outside of
the State of Illinois. This is your Conference . . . There is NO ONE, BUT YOU, who can make a difference in Illinois!
