The mission of the Illinois Conference Department of Education supports the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Our goal is to provide professional, sensitive, and caring teachers so that a positive Christian environment will exist in which to educate our students.  It is our desire to see our students develop a relationship with Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, prepare for a happy and successful life that would include the joy of serving others while proclaiming the gospel to an uncertain world all within the context of academic excellence.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church operates one of the largest Protestant educational systems in the world. World statistics for 2002 indicate 5,605 schools operated by the church, 99 are colleges and universities, 35 worker training institutes, 1,064 secondary high schools, and 4,407 primary/elementary schools, with a total enrollment of 1,056,349.  Individuals do not have to be members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to attend an Adventist school.
